How FileMint handles your files and site visits.

Your documents

Local PDF modes process selected files in browser memory without transmitting file contents, extracted text, filenames, or document metadata to a conversion server. Files are not written to localStorage.

Optional full Word conversion

When the protected Adobe conversion pilot is connected and explicitly selected, your consent is required before uploading the PDF to the conversion server and Adobe. The server holds document bytes in memory rather than saving document files locally. It attempts to delete provider input and output assets after completion. Deletion cannot be guaranteed for failed or timed-out jobs; Adobe's retention rules apply to those assets. Cancelling in the browser stops waiting but may not stop a submitted provider job. The pilot keeps a daily job counter on disk, not document content. The public review deployment has no provider credentials configured.

Website requests

Your browser still requests website pages and processing resources. The hosting provider may process request metadata, including IP addresses and browser information, under its own policies. Private preview access may use host-managed sign-in cookies.

Optional OCR

If you enable OCR, recognition software and English language resources are downloaded from this website. Recognition runs locally. Your browser may cache software and language assets, but this application does not intentionally cache your documents.

Analytics and advertising

Analytics and advertisements are disabled in this release. The local analytics event bridge does not make network requests. If advertising or analytics are activated later, this policy and consent controls must be updated before they load.

Retention and your choices

Choose Start over or close the tab to release the working files. Downloads remain on your device. The site cannot delete downloads or guarantee secure erasure of browser memory.
